Since the American Revolution, people fighting to secure our freedoms have at some point in time, been held as prisoners of war. Unfortunately, it took over 200 years for our country to officially recognize the sacrifices made by those who spent time in enemy hands, or who were declared missing in action, from conflicts around the globe. We must provide moral support to those families who continue to suffer. Sacrifice is meaningless without remembrance!
Thank you Ramona, for always supporting the VFW during our Buddy Poppy drives. Special thanks to Stater Bros., Albertsons, Tractor Supply and Country Wine and Spirits for allowing us to use your location for this drive. This town is so generous! All funds donated go straight to helping veterans in need.
Coming home doesn't mean the battle is over. With over 10 times the amount of veterans lost to suicide than to combat operations in the same time period, there has never been a more important time to TAKE A STAND and DO something to support our veterans!! If you or someone you know is suffering from PTSD, we have people that have shared a similar experience and are ready to help.
...we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.
WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, Kosovo, War in Afghanistan, War in Iraq, War on Global Terror and other Peace-Keeping Expeditionary Campaigns throughout the globe.
A man's country is not a certain area of land, of mountains, rivers, and woods, but it is a principle and patriotism is loyalty to that principle.
Ask not what your country can do for you, ask you can do for your country.
